Manage & Export Parcel Search Results
After running a Parcel Search, use the Search Results toolbar to manage your matches. Sort them, export to Excel, CSV, Tab Delimited, or SHP/KML/DXF, save the search for later, or turn the result set into a reusable custom boundary layer.
How do I browse and sort my results?
- The grid shows 100 parcels per page. Use the page controls at the bottom-left, which read "Page <n> of <total pages>", and the paging text at bottom-right, "Displaying <start> - <end> of <total>".
- Click any column header to sort ascending or descending by that column (Acres, Last Sale Amount, and so on).
- Click Zoom To on a row to jump the map to that parcel.
- Click Property Details to open the full parcel report: ownership, sales history, zoning, and map layer stats.
You should now be able to page through, sort, and jump to any parcel in the result set.
How do I export my search results?
- Click Export Records to save every field (owner, acreage, sales, and more) for each result. Choose Export to Tab Delimited, Export to CSV, or Export to Excel. The dialog explains each format's quoting behavior before you pick one.
- Click Export Records Mailer for a mail-merge-ready file with just owner name and mailing/site address, in the same three formats.
- Click Export Polygons to download parcel geometry as SHP, KML, or DXF for CAD/GIS software. SHP and DXF need an EPSG code for the output projection; click Export Features to download.
You should now have a downloaded file. Remember the row cap above if you're evaluating MapWise on a free trial.
How do I save, reload, and manage a search?
- Click Save Search Results, type a Saved Search Name, and confirm. Leaving the name blank shows "Name required."
- Click Load Saved Search and pick a name from the Saved Search Name dropdown to rerun it later.
- Made changes to your current saved search's criteria? Click Update Saved Search to overwrite it. This replaces the currently loaded saved search instead of creating a new one.
- Click Manage Saved Searches to open a grid of every search you've saved, with its parcel count and creation date, plus Rename and Delete controls for each row.
You should now see your search listed in Manage Saved Searches, ready to reload, rename, or delete whenever you need it.
How do I turn my results into a custom boundary layer?
Turn your result set into a map layer you can keep working with. See Custom Boundaries for how to manage it afterward.
- Click Add to Custom Layer. A window opens with a single Dissolve Parcels checkbox, checked by default, so every parcel in the result set merges into one boundary polygon instead of a separate record per parcel. Click OK.
- MapWise merges the parcels and opens an edit form. Fill in the boundary's Site Name and Category, then click Save Changes. Every parcel from your result set is merged into the boundary and highlighted on the map.
You should now see a new entry under Custom Boundaries, ready to edit or track like any other boundary.
What does Delete Record actually delete?
Delete Record removes the selected rows from your current result set only. It does not delete anything from the underlying Florida parcel database. Rerunning the same search brings the parcel back.
