The Imagery Backdrop layer group holds the most current aerial imagery MapWise carries, county by county. Twelve Florida counties are covered: Brevard, Broward, Manatee, Orange, Sarasota, St. Johns and St. Lucie at 2026 vintage, and Duval, Hillsborough, Lake, Nassau and Pasco at 2025. The group also holds satellite imagery and post-disaster photography captured after events such as Hurricane Ian. Parcel boundaries stay drawn over whichever layer you turn on, so you can see what is actually on the ground inside the lines.
Use 'Imagery Backdrop' map layers to:
See what is on a parcel now — new construction, clearing, ponds and outbuildings that postdate the survey or the last site visit.
Compare current county imagery against the statewide archive, which reaches back to 1995, to show how a site has changed.
Verify site conditions before traveling, and support appraisals, reports and investor presentations with current imagery.
Evaluate post-disaster damage and support insurance documentation after hurricanes and flooding.
